hi there! nice to meet you!

My name is Marina, I’m an autistic bi woman in her late twenties who is currently focusing on finding beauty in the mundane and just putting one foot in front of the other. I like creating things, fiddling with tiny objects, discovering new hobbies and talking about them, watching Old Hollywood movies, spooky stuff, gothic novels, murder mysteries, adventure games and narrative-focused games in general, reading, journaling, collaging, collecting postcards and pretty much every little piece of paper I come across. I also like languages, though I've kind of abandoned my German studies for now :")

Thank you for reading! ♥
Have fun scrolling through this page!

"fun" facts about me

I have Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
My dream job is either a lighthouse keeper on a remote island inhabited by ghosts or a rich lady detective from the 1920s
I’m a trained translator (or I used to be) and want to get into game localization someday - you know, since being a lighthouse keeper on a ghost island is not currently an option
Beer is the only alcohol that actually tastes good on its own, and I will die on this hill
My MBTI type is INTP
If you’re into astrology, I’m an Aquarius sun, Taurus moon and Cancer rising. Feel free to tell me what the hell it means :D
My favorite animal is Tasmanian devil (ever since I read an article about them in an encyclopedia when I was 10). I also love opossums, bats, orca and hedgehogs
I don’t like horror movies because I can’t handle jumpscares (unless the movies in question are classic era horror – love those!), but I love reading horror!
I love European musicals and saw my favorite actress Pia Douwes live in three of my favorite musicals
I love cross-stitch and embroidery but can’t grasp crochet or knitting at all
I have a lighthouse tattoo. Just one for now, but I hope to get more someday

I'm a Pac Man Frog!
Argentinian Horned frogs seem to have been designed for the sole purpose of eating as much as possible. They appear to consist of two main parts: a mouth and a stomach. This is probably where they got the nickname "PacMan". Their needs are fairly simple, a warm habitat in a simple plastic box or aquarium with some shallow water and a few rocks so that they can laze around all day suits them just fine. They don't mix well with other frogs, even in their own species, as they are just as likely to eat them.
