Early Life
Pascal is the oldest of the brothers and the second child in the family (after Jenny) so I imagine he had to be responsible for his younger siblings quite often. He's also the most serious and ~sciency~ of the brothers. I think he kind of embraced his so-called nerdiness at an early age and wasn't trying to be anything else to fit in. Based on his memories, he and his brothers were bullied by General Buzz Grunt when they were teenagers. He was also romantically interested in Circe Beaker (nee Salamis) but was rejected by her in favor of Vidcund, only for her to dump Vidcund and become involved with Loki Beaker.
Since base game didn't have University yet, none of the adult Strangetown residents have degrees and I don't think I'll give them any manually, but one has to imagine all three brothers graduated with a degree in some sort of science, probably from La Fiesta Tech.
Life at the start of the game
Pascal and his brothers have been interested in science fiction and extraterrestrials since they were very young. My headcanon for my game is that it all started when Jenny had an alien phase as a young teen and her younger siblings picked up on it. He's the first of the brothers to have been abducted and impregnated by aliens.
In my game, none of the Curious siblings knew, prior to the events of the game, that they have two alien half-sisters. I think Jenny found out first (I'm influenced by this fic btw + the fact that Jenny's the only one of the four to recognize Lola and Chloe as her relations, iirc) and then had to break it to her abduction-obsessed brothers that their father had been abducted, gave birth to alien twins and kept it a secret his whole life. I'm not sure how Pascal reacted to that.
Pascal's rivalry with Loki Beaker probably predates the whole Vidcund/Circe situation and seems to have carried over to their adult lives. The way I imagine it, they work in the same research facility, but in different departments. Maybe one of them got transferred after the management grew tired of their conflict.
He met Nervous Subject in a chatroom and they became best friends. Pascal was the one who convinced Nervous to try and run away from the Beakers. I don't think Pascal is as horrified by the Beakers' experiments as a normal person would be - he dreams of becoming a mad scientist, after all, and he lives in Strangetown - but he believes the rules and ethical principles of scientific research exist for a reason and that you should experiment on yourself, not other people. Maybe deep down he wishes he wasn't bound by that... He does love Nervous, though. Time will tell how platonic their relationship will be.
Rounds 1 and 2
I'm still getting a hang on Pascal so nothing too unusual happened in the first two rounds to him specifically. He gave birth to an alien girl and named her Tycho, like in the PSP Sims game I've never played myself (though the PSP kid was a boy). I think Pascal wants to raise Tycho well and possibly have more alien kids, so I gave him Family as secondary aspiration. He definitely doesn't concern himself with traditional family structure, however, and I can't really see him being interested in anybody down the line, unless something happens. Anybody other than Nervous, that is, and even that is not set in stone.
Towards the end of round 2 he rolled the want to get the bronze toymaking badge, so I bought him a toymaking station. How nice of him to want to make toys for his daughter and niece :)
Vidcund Curious

Early Life
Vidcund is the third child in the family (after Jenny and Pascal) and the middle brother. My headcanon is that Vidcund and Pascal are fairly close in age with only a copule of years age difference at most, and Lazlo and Vidcund have about 4 years age difference (I think all three of them are evenly spaced out in the game but that's boring!). I think Vidcund followed Pascal everywhere and copied everything he did when they were kids. The key difference between them, however, was that Vidcund was desperately trying to be cool in the eyes of his peers while Pascal was perfectly fine being the way he was. Naturally, Vidcund's try-hard mentality didn't earn him any cool points. Like the other brothers, he was bullied by Buzz Grunt.
While he did follow Pascal around and looked up to him growing up, there's a fair bit of sibling rivalry between them, especially with both of them having romantic history with Circe Beaker. When they were teenagers, Circe rejected Pascal's kiss and then started dating Vidcund. According to Vidcund's memories, he peed himself at a party, after which Circe dumped him. Despite the fact that it happened ages ago and despite Circe being married, Vidcund still carries a torch for her, as evidenced by the crush marker Circe has on his relationship panel. She does not return his feelings.
Life at the start of the game
The scripted event for Vidcund at the start of a new game is that he'll be abducted and return pregnant if the player directs him to look through the telescope. So yeah, he really wants to finally be abducted! I bet he's pissed that Pascal was abducted first.
In his adult life Vidcund is still desperately trying to be ~cool~ and ~hip~ and whatnot. I imagine him having annoying hipster dude vibes. That's why I gave him the outfit he's wearing in his profile picture - I think it really suits him in my game! At the time of writing this, he's Level 4 in Science career which is science teacher at a local high school, and it amuses me greatly to think of him trying to be like Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society, except with science. The students obviously clock him as trying too hard, though. Pretty sad that Vidcund was bullied in high school and is now bullied by his own students.
His bio states that he has an "unnatural fondness" for African violets and the Curious house has a little greenhouse-type room with the hydroponics garden which is assumed to belong to Vidcund. It's also commonly assumed by players that the hydroponics garden is a metaphor for growing weed, so I've decided that Vidcund is into that. Not only does he grow and smoke weed, he's also fucking annoying about that. I don't know if there's a weed-growing mod for TS2. If there is, I might install it someday, but for now all weed-related headcanons are indeed only in my head.
My game assigned Vidcund the dream of becoming Prestidigitator. It doesn't match him at all at first glance, but I feel like this represents Vidcund inner desire for attention. He wants it despite being an introvert (you and me both, dude) but he'd never actually *be* in Entertainment because that's not a viable career.
Rounds 1 and 2
Vidcund was abducted shortly after Pascal, like it was intended in the game. His alien kid was also a girl, whom he (I) named Kitty after the brothers' mother. Now I want all their future kids (if they have any) to be girls! Nothing particularly remarkable happened to Vidcund otherwise, except that he almost burned down the kitchen while trying to cook chili con carne.
I'm not sure which secondary aspiration to assign him. I've been thinking of Popularity despite him not having many outgoing points for reasons I mentioned above (desire for attention), but I'm not sure. I can also sort of see him being a secondary Romance Sim for essentially the same reason, but on the other hand, I feel like he has a really specific type. Plus he's still pining after Circe and it has been literal DECADES since she dumped him, so... Probably not a Romance secondary after all.
Speaking of that - maybe I should find him another mean woman. I like the idea of the brothers + Nervous raising their girls on their own but it will probably become boring after a while, and I can actually see Vidcund marrying someone (but possibly still living in the Curious house). Someone super mean like Circe who would keep him in check. Hmmm... I guess we'll see.
Lazlo Curious

Early Life
Lazlo is the youngest of the four Curious siblings. He's also the least studious and most easy-going of the three brothers, which didn't stop Buzz Grunt from bullying him in their teenage years. I headcanon that all three of the brothers have AuDHD but Lazlo's the only one whose ADHD is more prominent than his autism, which is why he didn't thrive in academic environments like Pascal and Vidcund did.
He is interested in the same things as his brothers but has always had a more ~mystical~ approach, judging by his bio. He's also always had a reputation for being the "stupidest" brother, which is not true - it's just the ADHD. I bet his teachers told him he's go far in life if only he actually applied himself.
Lazlo's the only brother who never had any romantic history with Circe Beaker and he has no personal hard feelings towards Loki Beaker, unlike his brothers. He just doesn't give a fuck ♥
Life at the start of the game
When the player first boots up the Curious household, Lazlo is higher in the Science career than Pascal and Vidcund even though he's the youngest one. This, to me, is another indication that he's actually extremely smart.
My game assigned Lazlo the LTW of becoming Media Magnate + his predestined hobby isn't Science, unlike Pascal and Vidcund's, which I interpret as him wanting to change careers. He likely only followed the Science path because of his brothers anyway. He also doesn't seem in a hurry to be abducted - he did roll that want at some point and I locked it, but I can't picture him trying very hard. An abductee has a chance of returning pregnant, and I just don't think Lazlo is ready to be a father.
At the start of the game, Lazlo has a better relationship with Vidcund than Pascal, probably because of their shared interest in weed. I feel like maybe Vidcund grows the thing and Lazlo distributes it, lol. Speaking of relationships, he has an unrequited crush on Crystal Vu, which I don't really have any headcanons about except that she's maybe his coworker.
Rounds 1 and 2
I had Lazlo quit his job in Science sometime during the first round - I think he'd been wanting to do that for a while - and then had him pursue a career in Journalism in accordance with his LTW. He was a blog writer for a long time, but he's advancing! I interpret this dream of his as him wanting to own a conspiracy theory newspaper someday. The most eagle-eyed readers have also probably noticed that he's wearing an actual tinfoil hat on his profile pic here. I found this piece of custom content on Tumblr and thought it would be perfect for Lazlo.
It wasn't actually during *his* turn in the round, but - he almost had sex with Chloe before finding out she's his half-sister. Or rather before I remembered they were half-siblings because the game does not recognize them as such. Truth be told, I wouldn't have minded *that* much if it did happen, but I didn't really want any Curious family incest in this save. I'm glad it didn't happen and I didn't have to invent a story reason for it.
What also happened autonomously during another household's turn in the round was that Lazlo and Ophelia Nigmos developed mutual crushes on each other and later kissed on a community lot. Turns out tinfoil hat boy has rizz! I wish he made better choices than an almost-married woman and his own half-sister. They are both baddies and way out of his league, though, so fair play to him.
I've said that Lazlo is in no hurry to become a father, but he's been a very involved uncle to Tycho and Kitty since they were babies! He's best friends with them now, too.
Lazlo's predestined hobby is Nature but he'd pursued multiple other hobbies he later abandoned (classic ADHD). At some point he tried to catch bugs and was immediately successful twice in a row, which I decided meant bug-catching is his subhobby. Entomology is, after all, a science.
I haven't assigned him a secondary aspiration yet, but it will most likely be Pleasure.
Tycho Curious

Rounds 1 and 2
Tycho is Pascal's alien daughter whom he's pregnant with at the start of the game. In the Sims 2 PSP game, Pascal has an alien son named Tycho, and I borrowed that name from the PSP canon. Turns out Tycho's named after the astronomer Tycho Brahe, which I only found out recently! More you know.
Like her human father, Tycho is extremely neat, with a full 10 neat points. Unlike her human father, she's extremely nice and quite playful. She has low interest in studying, which is interesting considering how academically successful her dad is supposed to have been. I imagine her as a really sweet kid who's nice to everyone.
Her one true hobby is Cuisine and she enjoys baking those hideous-looking muffins in the toy oven. She's also besties with her cousin Kitty.
Kitty Curious II

Rounds 1 and 2
Kitty is Vidcund's alien kid. She doesn't actually have the number 2 in her name, that's just to avoid confusion since she's named after her grandmother. I imagine she's about 4 years younger than Tycho. Due to the fact that there's only one Pollination Technician (not to be confused with Pollination Tech #9 Smith) per neighborhood, Kitty and Tycho are simultaneously cousins *and* half-sisters. In the future I'll be using the Name the Father mod to avoid all alien kids being siblings through Pollination Tech, but I haven't implemented that yet. I don't mind it this time, since Tycho and Kitty are related either way.
Like her dad Vidcund, Kitty only has one outgoing point which means she's extremely shy. However, unlike Vidcund, she's super sloppy! It's very funny to me that, at the time of writing, this household has a clear divide between three neat freaks (Pascal, Vidcund and Tycho) and three extreme slobs (Lazlo, Nervous and Kitty).
Kitty's one true hobby is Tinkering. Based on her interests, she is quite sporty but also enjoys studying and learning new things. When she aged up to a child, her randomized outfit was sort of unisex - denim overalls and a white shirt - which, combined with her personality and interests, made me decide that she is kind of a tomboy.
Nervous Subject
—Nervous' bio at the beginning of the game
Early Life
Nervous Subject (real name Nyon Specter according to The Sims 4 lore - I might adopt that for my game) is the son of Olive Specter and the Grim Reaper. He was neglected by his mother and taken away by the social worker when he was a toddler. My headcanon for my game is that he never got adopted and eventually aged out of foster care. Loki and Circe Beaker found him living on the streets a while later and offered him money for being their test subject. He then became their prisoner for years.
Life at the start of the game
Nervous had been held captive at the Beakers' castle for several years and his personality was altered by their awful experiments. Technically, he was allowed to use the internet and even go out sometimes, but he didn't think he could leave because Circe manipulated him the way abusers do + he had no money and nowhere to go. He had no idea his birth mother was, at that point, still alive and living nearby, or that he had a cousin.
I'm not sure if he knows he's the son of the Grim Reaper. I imagine that was one of the reasons the Beakers wanted to experiment on him, but I don't know if they told him that or if he'd overheard them talking about it or if he knew his whole life because of some sort of identification mark. I wanted to give him a custom Death birthmark I found on Tumblr but it didn't show up in my game for some reason.
Pascal is his only friend. They met in a conspiracy theory chatroom during Nervous' time at the Beakers' (I came across this artwork and now imagine their first meeting was exactly like that) and quickly figured out they lived in the same weird-ass town. It took Pascal a long time to convince Nervous to try and run away from his tormentors, but he eventually succeeded.
Nervous didn't have a great personality even before it was changed by the experiments - the game code shows he only had 2 nice points, according to the Sims wiki. He's also sort of canonically gay because he has negative attraction points to women. However, he also has 0 attraction points to men, which is more ace-coded to me. So, to me, he's aroace with the potential to be in a queerplatonic relationship with Pascal (only him because they have a bond already and Pascal's understanding on Nervous' trauma).
Rounds 1 and 2
Nervous' first round was all scripted events: cockroaches, aspiration failure and the therapist appearing, plus Olive, his mother, leaving him an inheritance. I imagine she employed a private detective to find her son shortly before her death. After that, it was more experiments (I mostly left the poor guy in a tiny locked room with rotten food and a cheap chair) until Nervous was finally brave enough to escape the Beaker castle.
He now lives with Pascal and his family and tries to heal at least a little from his various traumas. He doesn't really have a relationship with Pascal's brothers, but he's great with the girls! They love their Uncle Nerv. Since he's hiding from the Beakers, he doesn't leave the house much, nor does he have a job or will ever be able to hold one.
Lazlo had an easel in his room because at one point he had to gain creativity for his Journalism job, but it had been sitting unused for a while because he moved on to other hobbies. Then I had Nervous use the easel because his OTH was Arts and Crafts, and boom! - he was in Lazlo's bedroom autonomously working on paintings All The Time. I think that's him processing his trauma. I'm also thinking he might open a gallery to showcase and sell his paintings someday...
I also gave him the Grilled Cheese secondary aspiration to indicate trauma. I hope it won't make him only paint grilled cheese.
